Gettin' Crocked Friday

Good Mornin' RVers and Campers...
It's Friday WOOP WOOP!!!!

Who's going camping this weekend? The weather will be wonderful for outdoor activities here in southeast Texas. I am so ready to get out in the warm sunshine and do some fishing and camping. I love to fish and camp with family and good friends. Ed and I also love meeting new campers and RVers, sitting around having good conversation is what it's all about. I really enjoy exchanging great Crockpot and camping recipes with the new campers. You know Crockpot and campfire recipes are endless and so easy for us so we won't miss one minute of the fun. Oh boy, now I'm getting excited about going to the lake.

So fellow campers let's get to Friday's "Gettin' Crocked" recipe. Today we are doing dessert, yes dessert in your Crockpot. Easy as pie or cake... Enjoy and Happy Cooking!

Crock-Pot Dump Cake

Ingredients:

1 box of yellow cake mix (NOT prepared, just the DRY mix)
1 stick of butter
1 large can of pie filling (cherry, blueberry, or apples work great)

Directions:

Empty the cake mix into a medium sized bowl

Add softened butter and combine

Pour pie filling into the bottom of the crock pot

Carefully sprinkle all of the mix on top of the pie filling

Cover and cook on HIGH for 2-3 hours or LOW 4-5 hours.

Serve with vanilla ice cream.

Note: Many newer crock pots will cook this in 2 hours. You will know it’s done when the pie filling starts bubbling through the cake mix.
