Mornin' Kids
Today I want to offer up a great tip. On grocery shopping days I look for the best value I can get for my money. So when I find veggies on sale, such as bell peppers, onions and celery I buy a bunch. Then a little later I chop all of them up and freeze them. Now you all know those red, yellow and orange peppers can get pricey, so when they go on sale I stock up. This is where my Food Saver machine comes in really handy. I chop, divide and seal all of my veggies up and seal them so they stack flat in the freezer. That way they don't take up much room in you freezer. Just like the pre packaged veggies in the freezer section of the store with 1/3 the cost. Now that's value... I do the same with any meat that goes on sale. I buy the large family packs divide them into portions for two (because it's just me and the Hubs) and seal them so they lay flat. In todays world we all need to get our moneys worth out of our food and try to save a little while we're at it.
I hope this tip will make your day a little brighter. Happy Cooking!
